One of the great things about Eat Lafayette is that you get to experience such a wide variety of food styles in such a small location. I knew I was in for something special after meeting the manger of Agave's downtown location across from Parc Sans Souci.

He introduced me to the style of food known as Mexicadiana, which combines the great flavors of Acadiana with the history of Mexico. If you're looking for some extra spice in your life, be sure to head down to Agave for Eat Lafayette 2014.

The only complaint I had about Agave was the fact that I didn't have room to eat more. From the Ceviche Del Mar to the Agave Grilled Pescado (and the tequila...) and all the amazing food that was brought to the table, you're sure to find your next favorite. What was really amazing was the outdoor patio with the fans and air conditioners that tamed even the hottest south Louisiana weather.

Be sure to visit EatLafayette.com for a list of all the participating restaurants. You can register to win a trip to the Caribbean for two from Lafayette Travel and Travel Machine.
