Accused Destrehan Teacher Pleads Guilty, Celebrates On Instagram [VIDEO]

On Thursday, Shelley Dufresne, the Destrehan teacher accused of having sex with a teen, made a plea deal and will not serve any jail time or have to register as a sex-offender. She received a sentence consisting of a $1000 fine, 90-days in a mental health facility and three years probation.

After Dufresne left court, she took to social media (Instagram) to express her joy.

This hasn't sat well with parts of the public, and Dufresne isn't completely out of the woods yet. She still has to go to court in Jefferson Parish to face other teen sex charges. That case is still pending.
