Multiple news outlets are reporting that New Orleans Saints player Junior Galette was arrested Monday in Kenner and is in police custody.

According to NOLA, Galette was booked with simple battery. Police also arrested Galette's cousin, Terrance Banks, 27, and booked him with simple battery. They are accused of roughing up a 22-year-old woman, who says she is Galette's assistant.

The woman told investigators that she asked Galette for money to catch a cab, but when she was told that they would not give her money, she says they tried to remove her from the house. The woman says during the scuffle she grabbed a knife to "protect herself."

When police arrived they found the woman in the front year bleeding from an ear and had scratches on her face.

Galette joined the Saints in 2010.

UPDATE: WDSU reports that officers were called to a domestic disturbance at Galette's home. Galette was taken into custody at the scene.
