Prince's death has left a big hole in the hearts of so many people in the music world. DJ Premier was one of the many people devastated by the news that Prince had passed away yesterday (April 21). In honor of the late musician and to mourn the loss in his own way, Premo decided to put together a special tribute mix for the legendary artist.

DJ Premier went on Facebook last night to live stream his Prince. The tribute mix was a bit of an off-the-cuff situation as Premo pulled from all types of Prince cuts as he got inspired along the way. The live set is just one of the many ways artists and fans alike have paid tribute to the iconic musician since news first broke. The hip-hop community has expressed their sadness at the loss through the past two days.

TMZ reported that Prince had been treated for a drug overdose just six days before his passing. After a planed he was flying in performed an emergency landing, he was hospitalized and discharged within a few hours. Prince's reps told press that he was simply suffering from the flu.

Another report stated that throughout the week, Prince was in and out of a Walgreens pharmacy in his neighborhood. People who saw him at the store were reportedly concerned about his health because he "looked much more frail and nervous than usual." An autopsy is being performed today (April 22) to determine the cause of Prince's death.
