At long last, DMX's "X Gon' Give It to Ya" has lived up to its glorious live performance potential. Recently, DMX hit the stage with The Soul Rebels, a New Orleans-based brass band that performed alongside the rapper in the city's famed House of Blues New Orleans on Nov. 18.

DMX decided to link with the famed horn group, which has performed alongside the likes of Nas, Curren$y, Raekwon, Talib Kweli, Mobb Deep, Rakim, Consequence and GZA, after seeing their successful run touring and performing with other established MCs. Before this performance, X had never even rapped alongside a live band, let alone one as talented as The Soul Rebels.

Standing in front of an enthusiastic audience, X and The Soul Rebels delivered energetic performances of tracks like "X Gon' Give It to Ya" and "Where the Hood At," both tracks he dropped back in 2003. The result was miraculous. On paper, the idea of X collabing with a brass band sounds incredible. In reality, it's actually even better than that.

Watch DMX and The Soul Rebels resurrect some of the iconic rapper's most anthemic songs with the triumphant horns they deserve in the two videos below. Check out X's hilarious "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" cover when you're done.
