Do You Track Your Exes on Facebook? — Survey of the Day

Sometimes it’s best to take an out of sight, out of mind approach to an ex after a breakup. However, in our brave new world of social media, the chances are your former flame is just a couple clicks away, making it difficult to completely ignore them.
In fact, according to a study from Western University, 88 percent of the 18-to 39-year-olds polled track their exes on Facebook after a breakup.
Seventy percent used the profile of a mutual friend to do their creeping, and 74 percent also copped to checking out the profiles of any of their exes’ new love interests.
The poll also found that 31 percent of those who have recently gone through a breakup use their Facebook page to try to make their former romantic partners jealous.
