Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence arrived in Louisiana to survey damage caused by flooding.

Trump landed in Baton Rouge and was greeted by Republicans Rep. Steve Scalise, Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and Attorney General Jeff Landry. Wearing his signature "Make America Great Again" hat Trump headed over to his motorcade to tour flood-damaged neighborhoods.

People who were cleaning up their homes in the Central area still managed to step away from the muck to wave at Trump.

Trump and his crew also reportedly visited a Baptist church and met with volunteers who have been cooking meals for flood victims.

The only low point of his visit could be the fact that he turned down a plate of jambalaya offered to him by one of the volunteers.
