Imagine a downtown with no bars, parks, water fountains, or delicious sushi spots. This old video gives us a full color glimpse of what Downtown Lafayette used to look like in the 60s.

Not only was it cool to see a Downtown Lafayette when it was actually the "hub" of Lafayette for shopping, business, etc.—it was also neat to see a lot of familiar local stores and businesses.

The video has been making its way around social media and was uploaded by user Adrian Baudoin. What makes the video so great is the crystal clear quality in which we see a captured moment in Downtown Lafayette time from half a century ago.

Check out Baudoin's YouTube channel to see even more throwback videos including sightseeing in Baton Rouge, storm damage, and lots more.

And for a little a bit of lagniappe, here's a shot of the USL campus during the same time frame.
