Report: Drago’s To Open Up Location In Parc Lafayette

Drago's Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar is coming to Lafayette, LA—this according to a report by The Independent's ABiz.

The Lafayette location will reportedly be in the La Marquise building in Parc Lafayette at the corner of Camellia Boulevard and Kaliste Saloom—currently being used by the Petroleum Club for events. Prior to the Petroleum Club deal, La Marquise was a failed women's clothing store.

Details are scarce as The Independent reached out to Petroleum Club GM John O'Meara who "didn't immediately return" their messages, as well as Drago's owner Tommy Cvitanovich who declined to comment, but sent this email response.

As much as I'd like to announce details, I am still under a confidentiality agreement that I very much intend to honor. Until my agreement is lifted, I cannot talk about any details. I can assure you that our family is very excited and anxious to open a Drago's in Lafayette.

Drago's already has locations in Metairie, at the end of Poydras in New Orleans CBD, and in Jackson, MS. In addition to their world famous chargrilled oysters, their menu features po boys, salads, house specialties, steaks, and other seafood items.
