Drake has finally addressed the shooting incident in Toronto that took place at his OVO Fest after-party, which left two people killed and three others critically injured.

The deadly shooting left a black cloud over an otherwise peaceful and fun OVO Fest concert. According to police, Duvel Hibbert was the intended target at the club, while an innocent bystander, Ariela Navarro-Fenoy, was killed in the crossfire.

Drizzy wasn't at Muzik nightclub where the shooting occurred. The double homicides remain unsolved.

The incident left a heavy toll on the OVO leader’s heart. The 28-year-old rhymer posted an open letter on his OVO blog to speak about the escalating violence in his beloved hometown of Toronto.

“The last few days I have been in a moral bind,” he writes. “I am used to the fact that my life and the things I say to my fans are closely watched. It’s tough in situations like this where there’s a tragedy and I consider the advice of my trusted advisors and counsel who worry that anything I might say could be misinterpreted.”

Drake also offered his deepest condolences to the victims’ families and urged for peace his beloved city.

"Although Toronto is globally viewed as a major city, at the core we are still a small close-knit community, and it is our public responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of one another. We need each other to further our communities for generations to come," he writes. "I pray for better times and better understanding."

We couldn't agree more with Drake. We need to stop the violence and increase the peace not only in Canada but here in the U.S. as well.
