After a three year album hiatus, months of anticipation and weeks of hype, Drake finally dropped his fourth studio album Views today (April 29). After trending all night long on social media thanks to a debut listening on OVO Sound Radio, the LP might be on track to go platinum before the weekend's end.

Along with the release of his newest studio album, the 6ix God gave a very rare and candid interview with Beats 1 Zane Lowe. During the conversation, Drizzy revealed to Lowe that his one-time close relationship with fellow Young Money signee, Nicki Minaj, has become so strained that the two rappers are not talking at this time.

“I don’t really talk to Nicki,” said Drake in the interview. “[She’s] another person that I have a lot of love for, man, a lot of love and a lot of respect, not only for our past and the time and work we put in, but even the way she dealt with the situation at hand.”

This rift in their relationship comes as no surprise to fans who've been watching the two interact - or not - over the past year. Last summer, Nicki's famous rap beau, Meek Mill, infamously attacked Drake on Twitter, accusing him of using ghostwriters for his raps. Drake in return delivered deafening blows in the form of the Grammy-nominated diss track "Back To Back" and more recently "Summer Sixteen."

But keep in mind, this isn't the first time Drake and Nicki have given each other the silent treatment. Back in 2013, Drake rapped "Not even talkin' to Nicki, communication is breakin' / I dropped the ball on some personal shit, I need to embrace it / I'm honest, I make mistakes, I'd be the second to admit it / Think that's why I need her in my life, to check me when I'm trippin'" on "Tuscan Leather."

With Nicki still very much with Meek and Drake riding high on the pride of being reigning king of Toronto, there's no telling how long this fight will last.
