Everybody seems to love Drake‘s life anthem ‘The Motto.’ From Nelly to ‘Teen Mom’ star Jenelle Evans, the infectious song has been embraced for Drizzy’s usage of the Bay Area lingo “Y.O.L.O.” (“You Only Live Once”). Now the song has reached platinum status for one million shipped in the United States.

According to HipHop-N-More, ‘The Motto’ is also poised to be a Top 10 hit for the rap superstar as it leaped from No. 21 to No. 16 on the latest Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Interestingly, Billboard notes that Drake’s current hit single ‘Make Me Proud’ notched a second week at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally this week. But ‘The Motto’ is closing in on the top spot as it jumped from No. 8 to No. 3. So, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens next week.

This news comes as Drake prepares to kick off his Club Paradise Tour on Feb. 14 in Miami. The trek also features PopCrush’s 2012 Artist to Watch alum A$AP Rocky and fellow rap newcomer Kendrick Lamar.

In addition, Drake will make an appearance at the Grammy Awards as a presenter. No word if he is going to perform at the kudofest, but we are crossing our fingers.

Congrats to Drake on his chart-topping success!
