The mentee has officially caught up with the mentor. Today (Dec. 27), Drake ties Lil Wayne for most all-time Billboard Hot 100 appearances among solo acts.

Drizzy reaches the Hot 100 chart for the 132nd time. He ties Weezy's mark thanks to his feature on Gucci Mane's "Both," a cut from Wop's album The Return of East Atlanta Santa. "Both" is debuting at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Does this mean it's time to start comparing Drake and Weezy's bodies of work? Some would still agree that Tunechi is the better overall artist, but one can't deny the sheer amount of hits on Drizzy's résumé.

In other Drake-related news, the Toronto artist is reportedly cooking up new music with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, the Bronx rapper who opened for Drizzy back in August at Madison Square Garden.

About a week ago, XXL compiled the OVO rapper's best guest verses of 2016. The list includes hit songs including "No Shopping," "Big Amount" and "Work."

Prior to that, Drake and Jennifer Lopez sparked dating rumors by snapping a few photos together at a restaurant in West Hollywood called Delilah on Dec. 19.
