Champagne Papi has great reason to toast, as Drake's Views has been streamed over a billion times on Apple Music alone. The album is the first to do so, with Drizzy sharing the above photo on Instagram announcing the achievement. Drake now has a one-of-a-kind plaque signed by Apple CEO Tim Cook, who thanks the rapper for driving such traffic to the streaming service.

When Views dropped back in April, it was at first an Apple Music and iTunes exclusive, so that it would reach this milestone through the streaming service makes a ton of sense. When Apple Music first launched in June of 2015, the brand signed Drake to an endorsement deal reportedly worth $19 million. In the time since its release, Views has been certified triple platinum by the RIAA, amassing a billion total streams across all platforms back in June.

The staggering numbers make such Drake lines as "25 sitting on 25 mill' seem not only outdated, but pedestrian. When Forbes released their annual list of Hip Hop Cash Kings earlier this month, Drake was behind only Diddy, Jay Z and Dr. Dre, pulling in $38.5 million, and that's without liquor, streaming or headphone brands to his name. While some, Joe Budden among them, may see Views as an underwhelming artistic effort, it's impossible to argue against its commercial success, with the album continuing to soar even months after its release. Clap for 'em.
