Drake's latest album Views has been dominating the Billboard charts, kicking ass on the radio and selling like hot cakes. But instead of sitting back and riding its wave into 2017, Drizzy has more up his sleeve. The 6 God recently announced he is working on a new mixtape.

Aubrey revealed the news during a Summer Sixteen Tour stop in Kansas City, Mo. last night (July 23). Halfway through the show, he stopped to address the crowd, promoting good vibes. "I want you to protect yourselves and each other," Drake told the crowd. "When I go and work on this new mixtape and come back to Kansas City and I drop that shit, I wanna see everybody in this motherfucker boy!"

This news comes on the heels of the revelation that Gucci Mane and Drake will be putting out a new EP tentatively titled '6ers. After rumors of the project surfaced, Zaytoven confirmed its existence last week. “It’s in the works right now,” said the California beatsmith. “When Drake came over to the house to shoot a video, him and Gucci got to talking about making something. It will be a small EP. I think it might be called 6’ers, you know, because Gucci is from Zone 6 and Drake is from Toronto, the 6. It’s definitely happening.”

Since Drizzy didn't give anymore details on the "new mixtape" there's a chance these could be the same project. But things are pointing to them being a separate.

Any work put in on the project would more than likely have to be done on the road. Drizzy's joint tour with Future goes on through October, ending on the 16th in Newark, N.J.
