Drake’s “One Dance” Becomes His First No. 1 Song on the Canadian Charts

Drake is finally atop the charts in his home country. The Toronto rapper's new single "One Dance" will be No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100 next week according to Billboard.

It is somewhat shocking that it has taken this long to earn the top spot in Canada, but Drake is no stranger to finding the No. 1 spot to be elusive. While he's nabbed such honors twice through his guest appearances on Rihanna singles, the OVO boss still has not earned a No. 1 on the traditional Billboard Hot 100 with his own song.

As much as Drake likely appreciates his status atop the charts, he's got bigger things to take care of this week. Drake's main focus is on the release of his highly anticipated Views From the 6, which is scheduled to drop this Friday. The album will be an Apple Music exclusive before receiving a wider release on May 6. Drake is also set to hit the road this summer for the Summer Sixteen tour with Future.
