Early Morning Fire Damages South Rayne Elementary Gymnasium, School Closed

An early morning fire has damaged the gymnasium at the South Rayne Elementary gym, thus closing the school today, Wednesday, for it's students.

The fire remains under investigation, but early reports indicate that the fire may have been intentionally set. According to reports, it appears that someone may have broken into the school early this morning and ignited the blaze that damaged the gym. As of right now, the school will be ready to accept students tomorrow, Thursday.

Faculty and staff should report to campus today, and we will continue to monitor this developing story. Again, no school for STUDENTS at the South Elementary School in Raye today.
