NBA All-Star Weekend is coming up in February, and this year it’ll have a little bit of a Cajun flair to it – a Ragin’ Cajun flair.

Former Ragin’ Cajun and current Orlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton has been voted on by NBA coaches to compete in the Rising Stars Challenge, which will take place Feb. 13 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, according to foxsports.com.

Magic teammate Victor Oladipo will compete in the event for the second year. The competition features a 10-man roster comprised of first-year and second-year players, such as Payton and Oladipo, respectively, who will represent the U.S., versus a team of international players.
