Eminem has a slew of accomplishments under his belt, but on he recently acknowledged a major milestone in his life.

On Friday (April 20), the Detroit rhymer celebrated 10 years of sobriety. “Celebrated my 10 years yesterday,” Em shared on Saturday (April 21) on his social media accounts. In the photo above, the Grammy-winning rapper shows off a sobriety coin to mark the achievement.

During his rap career, Eminem has been very candid of his drug use on a variety of songs. In April 2008, the 45-year-old rapper decided to go sober after years of addiction to prescription pills Ambien, Vicodin and others. His 2009 album Relapse was his first attempt to record music clean and sober.

After his making his announcement, Eminem's friend and fellow emcee Royce Da 5’9" went on Twitter to congratulate him on was quick to congratulate his friend on his important milestone. “Happy sobriety birthday to my mentor @Eminem,” Royce tweeted. “Keep fighting the good fight homie...I love you for life."

Meanwhile, Eminem also shared an IG photo with himself and Snoop Dogg in the studio. The caption simply reads, "Selfizzel."

In other news, Eminem is set to close the final night of Coachella's second weekend. Last Sunday (April 15), Em brought out his friend 50 Cent as well as his mentor Dr. Dre. 50 and Em ran through hits, “Patiently Waiting”, “I Get Money” and “In Da Club." During his set with Dr. Dre, Em and the veteran hitmaker ran through their memorable hits including “Still Dre”, “Medicine Man” and "Forgot About Dre."
