Eminem has finally responded to Machine Gun Kelly's diss track, "Rap Devil," although not in the form of a battle rap.

Instead, he went on Sway in the Morning and explained the origins of the beef, which was recently revisited on the Kamikaze track "Not Alike." "But next time you don't gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun/And I'm talking to you but you already know who the f*** you are, Kelly/I don't use sublims and sure as f*** don't sneak-diss/But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie..."

For those who weren't familiar, the entire beef got started way back in 2012, when MGK posted a picture of Em's daughter, Hailie, on Twitter and declared was "hot as f---." She was only 16 at the time, though Eminem says he didn't even see the statement until a year and a half later. Eminem says by the time he found about what MGK said on Twitter, he was out doing press, using Hallie for the press run. But, Em says the real reason he finally dissed him is even more "petty."

"The reason that I dissed him is because he got on-- first he said 'I'm the greatest rapper alive since my favorite rapper banned me from Shade 45' or whatever he said, right?" Eminem told Sway. "Like I'm trying to hinder his career."

The track Em's referring to is from a song MGK released last year, "Free Smoke," where he raps, "I'm my favorite rapper alive/Since my favorite rapper banned me from Shade 45."

MGK followed that up with an appearance on Tech N9ne's most recent album, Planet, on the song, "No Reason" where he raps, "Popped in on the top charts out the cop car/To remind y'all you just rap and not God..." That last line was in reference to Em's song, "Rap God," which MGK cleared up with another Twitter post, for those who might not have caught it.

Anyway, Em says that he has no idea why MGK kept talking about him in the first place-- the 2012 incident was six years ago. He also doesn't understand why MGK was under the false belief that he even cares about his career.

"I don't give a f--- about your career," Eminem said of Kelly. "You think I'm actually f---ing think about you? You know how many f---ing rappers are better than you? You're not even in the f---ing conversation."

Sway asks if MGK's line in "Rap Devil" about Eminem calling Interscope to have his album shelved was true, and Em denied making the call with an adamant, "f--- no."  He says MGK"s "Rap Devil" diss was "good for him" and admits MGK had a few good lines in it, but more than a diss, he felt it was pitiful.

"Now I'm feeling bad for something I didn't even have s---t to do with," Em said.

He said he doesn't know about whether or not he'll respond because if he starts replying to every person he dissed on Kamikaze, he'll be in the studio for the next five years. He also said he doesn't want MGK to get more exposure from the beef.

"Shut the f--- up. Shut the f--- up," Eminem said. "I wanna destroy him, but I also don't wanna make him bigger, you know what I'm saying? Because now you're a f---ing enemy. So, I'll leave it at that. I'm not sure exactly what I'm gonna do at this point right now because I'm still kinda waiting to see."
