Eminem Addresses White Privilege on New Song “Untouchable”

A week ahead of dropping his Revival album, Eminem addresses White privilege once again on his new song "Untouchable."

Unlike his Eminem Show song, "White America," which was the most popular instance of Em rapping about the idea of White privilege, the track, produced by Em, Mr. Porter, Emile Haynie and Mark Batson, finds the Detroit rapper spitting about police brutality and racial profiling instead of the way he's perceived in the rap game.

"Black boy, Black boy, we ain't gonna lie to you/Black boy, bBack boy, we don't like the sight of you," Em spits from the perspective of a police officer. "Pull up on the side of you/Window rolled down, profiled/And then we wonder why we see this side of you/Probably coming from the dope house/We can let you slide but your tail light is blew, out/We know you're hiding that Heidi Klum on you/And you're on another drug charge, homie, it's back inside for you."

Interestingly, the track plays out like a less linear version of Joyner Lucas' "I'm Not Racist," which the Worcester, Mass. rapper dropped a week ago. To be sure, Em probably recorded "Untouchable" several months ago. Probably says a lot about the current atmosphere of the U.S.
