I have no problem admitting that I was probably one of the last people on earth with a smartphone to adopt the emoji keyboard. I didn't really embrace the smiley faced picture characters until it was offered as a built in keyboard through one of the recent iOS updates on my iPhone.

Now that I have utilized them, I wonder how I ever communicated without them.
