ESPN Suspends Stephen A Smith For Remarks Made On Television [VIDEO]

Reports out indicate that ESPN has suspended Stephen A Smith for the insensitive remarks he made on the "First Take" television show last Friday.

While discussing the Ray Rice suspension on the show, which involved Ray Rice and his girlfriend getting into a physical altercation, Smith suggested that women can sometimes provoke men into a physical altercation and that needs to be addressed. Those comments made set off a firestorm of criticism towards Smith.

Since making those comments, Smith has since apologized on television for his remarks and said it was, "the most egregious error of my career."

ESPN has reportedly suspended Smith from all ESPN programming for a week, and should return to the show "First Take" by next Wednesday.
