Eunice Police Warn Citizens To Not Play In Flood Water

The Eunice Police Department has a stern warning for parents---Do Not let your kids play in the flood water.

The Eunice Police Dept. wrote the following message on their Facebook page:

"We are insisting parents/guardians keep their children out of flood waters as the flood waters are contaminated with chemicals and raw sewage. Also be mindful of the displaced animals and reptiles. There may also be debris that has been brought in from flood waters that could cause injuries."

All parents in south Louisiana should heed these warning by the Eunice P.D. It is way too dangerous to let kids play in flooded areas. We've had several listeners report snakes in water, along with ants and spiders.

PLEASE be safe out there and avoid all areas with standing water.
