As 2015 comes to a close, Facebook takes a look back on the year in review.

2015 gave us everything from debates on social issues amongst presidential candidates, to the color of "the dress" amongst social media users. The year had its bright moments, like when we finally achieved marriage equality; but unfortunately dark moments including shootings, terrorist attacks and natural disasters seemed to outweigh the good times.

When I look back on 2015, I see one of the most divided years of my life considering everything that happened over the past 12 months. From social media, to the streets—and even the Presidential election, it seemed like we spent more time divided on issues than coming together for the greater good.

The times we did come together as one, was in wake of tragedy—and that was especially important after terror struck our own hometown movie theater back in late July.

Hopefully, we can change that in 2016.

From what we talked about, where we checked in most, and who our favorite entertainers were, here are just a few of the Global Top 10 lists of 2015 according to Facebook.
