Should she have been sent home for her attire?

Marshall Middle School parent Brooke Fields posted the pic above of her daughter to the Battle Creek Enquirer's Facebook on Wednesday...

"My daughter was told by a teacher at Marshall Public Schools that she was a distraction to the boys today," "My straight A student was called out in front of the class and told the boys were staring at her. If I wouldn't have been home, she would have had to sit in ISS (in school suspension) all day. This is wrong."

Principal David Turner said that the Facebook post wasn't accurate and that school policy doesn't allow female students to wear leggings, jeggings, yoga pants, tights or tight-fitting bottoms during the school day. She was in violation of school code.

Do you think she was in violation if the leggings were covered? Comment below.
