As the weather in Acadiana warms up, festival season is upon us. And of course, Lafayette's crown jewel of festivals is Festival International de Louisiane.

This year's festival will feature some big changes and the festival's vice president of marketing, Jason Fontenot, spoke on KPEL's Acadiana's Morning News about what we can expect of this year's experience.

The festival, set for April 20-24, will as always host a throng of more than 60 musical acts that will bring an eruption of energy to Lafayette's Downtown. The event is stil free tothe public, but this year, added perks to two levels of festival passes for a nominal donation will prove to be a big bonus.

Fontenot said the festival could not happen without the waves of volunteers that devote their time. If you would like to volunteer, click the button below to find a slot to fill.
