While most of Acadiana waits on the rain, our neighbors in north Louisiana are dealing with some serious flooding.

Here are a few pictures I stumbled upon while on Facebook. The photos come from the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, and they are advising motorists to stay off the roads as the water continues to rise.

These photos were taken in Tall Timbers subdivision off of Highway 80. Many of the residents have already evacuated to higher grounds, but take a look at the homes they left behind.

We will continue to monitor this developing story from north Louisiana. Let's all keep our friends and neighbors in our thoughts and prayers today. Yes, there's more rain in the forecast today.
