A former assistant football coach for the LSU Tigers has landed himself a new job.

Former LSU receivers coach Dameyune Craig has been hired by Florida St. as a quality control assistant for the 2017 college football season.

Craig actually had two stints at LSU, working as a graduate assistant early in his coaching career, prior to spending last season as the receivers coach.

The 42-year old Craig, who was a quarterback at Auburn during his playing career, began his college coaching career at LSU as a graduate assistant in 2004, and then spent one year in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins in 2005, before returning to the college ranks, where he has worked for Tuskegee (2006-2007), South Alabama (2008-2009), Florida St. (2010-2012), Auburn (2013-2015), and LSU (2016).

Craig was dismissed from the LSU coaching staff by head coach Ed Orgeron in early February.
