One of the biggest attractions for the Fourth of July are fireworks displays. Here are some of the Fourth of July celebrations going on throughout Acadiana.

In Downtown Lafayette: "Red, White, & Boom"

Grammy Winner Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra will perform in downtown Lafayette at Parc International stage at 7:30 p.m. Children's Music in Parc Sans Souci at 5:15 p.m.

Grammy nominee Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band at 5:00 p.m.. at the Freedom Fest! Stage and Lafayette's Bayou Boys on the Freedom Fest! Stage at 7:30 p.m.

A massive fireworks display is scheduled in Downtown Lafayette after sunset.  Admission is $5 per person. Gates open at 5 p.m.

In Youngsville: "Sugarmill Pond"

Sugar Mill Pond will celebrate the 4th of July with events starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This family event is free to the public and includes several attractions including hot-air balloon rides. A fireworks display is scheduled to start at 9pm.

The event in Erath all starts with the 13th Annual Fun Run - 5 K Run and 1 Mile Walk. It begins at 7:30 a.m.Other attractions include carnival rides, parades, a fais-do-do with  music from Louisiana Red and Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin' Cajuns. The event will end with a fireworks display.

In New Iberia: "4th of July Parade & Fireworks"

A Fourth of July parade followed by Honor Guard ceremony, harmony of patriotic music and fireworks at dusk in New Iberia on Jul 4, 2013, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Historic Downtown New Iberia/Bouligny Plaza on Main Street.

In Broussard: "Annual Fireworks Display"

The City of Broussard will host their annual Fireworks on Thursday, July 4th at 5pm at the Home Depot & Wal-Mart Parking Lots in Broussard. Fireworks Display starts at 9:00 pm.

In Franklin: "Movies In The Park Summer Series"

The City of Franklin will host "Movies in the Park Summer Movie Series," on July 4, July 20 and August 3. All movies are free to the public. The first movie will be "The Karate Kid," which stars Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan and Taraji P. Henson. The first movie will be shown at Broussard-Harris Park on July 4. The park will open at 7:15 p.m., and the movie will begin at dusk. Please, no ice chests or alcohol allowed.
