‘Friends With Benefits’ vs ‘No Strings Attached’ – Dave’s Ranking
It's been said that there are no original ideas anymore, and Hollywood is proving that phrase right again. I'm used to the SciFi Channel releasing movies that are eerily similar to movies about to be released in the theaters (which causes much confusion when it's time to rent one of those movies, you may pick the 'wrong one' by accident). One of my favorites was 'War of the Worlds' which was almost simultaneously released in theaters and the SciFi Channel. Earlier this year, the silver screen was graced with the feature film 'No Strings Attached' starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman.
The basic premise was a relationship based purely on sex. Six months later, as that film was getting ready to be released to DVD, along comes 'Friends With Benefits' starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, with the basic premise being was it possible to have a relationship based purely on sex?
Well, let's put these to together and see who wins. I've taken some comparisons between the two movies and made my selection as to which movie wins in each selection. Once again, unscientific, but in my opinion, pretty accurate.

And the winner is....'No Strings Attached' (according to this unscientific study). That being said, it's got some hefty competition at the box office this summer, with 'Harry Potter' shattering box office records and 'Captain America' set to release this weekend as well.
Which do you think will be funnier? 'No Strings Attached' or 'Friends With Benefits'?
