I've heard of the phrase "the punishment fits the crime" before, but this graffiti artist who allegedly had his face painted by police as punishment for painting on their station takes things to a very unusual new level.

The subtitles capture the exchange as an officer appears to tell the young man to say he's "sorry" for painting on their police station. The boy complies, but not without the officer spraying his face with black spray paint.

The paint covers the boy's entire face, making it visibly hard for him to breathe. The young man is then told to leave the premises, but not before being told to apologize one more time by the officer.

Do you think the punishment fits the crime, or is this cruel and uncalled for?
