Grounds Crew Accidentally Poisons Football Field [PHOTO]
The football team at St. Edward High School in Elgin, Illinois may have to look for a new field this season to host its home games because a grounds crew accidentally poisoned their field!!!
A crew responsible for maintaining the playing surface of the field sprayed it with weed killer, rather than with fertilizer. I'm assuming someone switched the jugs containing the liquids.
The Athletic Director acknowledged that is what was a honest mistake and that there was no evil intent here.
