After spending three weeks in the slammer, rapper Gucci Mane has obtained his freedom and been released.

The rhyme spitter was arrested in Georgia on April 13 for a probation violation. He languished behind bars until this week, TMZ reports. He was actually cellmates with Young Scooter so perhaps they passed the time by coming up with some musical ideas? Could a collabo be born of doing time? You never know. We can only imagine that jail begets boredom and leads to some creativity. Some good can come from crashing out in the same jail cell with a fellow talent, right?

Gucci's lawyer Drew Findling confirmed that the probation violation stemmed from an incident at a nightclub in the A-T-L that occurred on March 25. Gucci is reported to have smashed a fellow patron in the head with a bottle, giving the victim a decent-sized wound. He was charged with aggravated assault as a result of his actions and off to jail he went.

That particular case is currently pending. The rapper will return to court later this month.

Hopefully, he can stay out of the can until his next court appearance.
