Gucci Mane Sentenced to Six Months in Jail for Parole Violation
After his Twitter rant and some obnoxious behavior, it appears that Gucci Mane will have some time to rest and regroup. The embattled rapper has been sentenced to 183 days (six months) in jail for violating his parole.
According to HipHopDX, the Atlanta rhymer still had five open charges against him before his Sept. 14 arrest, all involving some sort of firearm and drug possession offenses, and one for disorderly conduct.
In the end, the 'So Icey' artist will most likely be incarcerated until the end of the year or longer.
This news follows Gucci Mane's apology on Twitter for his outlandish behavior in the past few weeks. The Brick Squad 1017 leader revealed that he was addicted to codeine and is now entering rehab to get help.
"I’ve been drinking lean for 10 plus years & I must admit it has destroyed me,” he wrote on Twitter. “I wanna be the first rapper to admit I’m addicted to lean & that s--- ain’t no joke. I can barely remember all the things I’ve done & said. However there’s no excuse.”
"I will be going to rehab because I need help," he continued. "I wanna thank everyone that has stood by me during this difficult time. Please keep me in your prayers."
We're sending our prayers to Gucci Mane. Keep your head up and get well.
