As one of the more electrifying figures in music and pop culture as a whole, Kanye West is a pretty big deal. Ever since fighting for his right to express his artistry however he sees fit, he has become a vanguard, inspiring creativity and passion in his legion of followers and supporters. But as of late, Kanye just hasn't seemed like his old self, the one he hinted was returning on his The Life of Pablo cut "The Old Kanye," and his actions as of late have given the hip-hop community cause to pause, to put it kindly.

While he's always been outspoken, unpredictable and possessed a flair for the dramatic, the past few months have seen Kanye take a drastic turn for the worse in regards to his public appearances, his relationship with the media and, most importantly, the fans who hold him in such high regard. Once he was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital, it's clear West's condition was serious.

There has been plenty of discussion as to what has been the cause for these recent mishaps and erratic behavior. Some point to his wife Kim Kardashian recently being robbed at gunpoint as the reason for his increased paranoia, while others have countered that his hectic schedule and high-profile relationship have taken a toll on him. There's even talk that the looming anniversary of his mother's death may be the catalyst for the chain of events that have put Kanye West in hot water and left him in a dark place that many are fearful he may never emerge from. Despite all the talk, his friends in hip-hop are standing behind him.

The speculation has been rampant, but what cannot be disputed is that Kanye West appears to be experiencing a meltdown, or has been in a very bad space as of late to say the least. From jabs at Jay Z to throwing support behind Donald Trump and more, here is a rundown of the chain of events that have transpired over the last month that point to our concern for Yeezy and his mental, physical and spiritual well-being.

Calls Out Jay Z at Seattle Show

Oct. 19 would be the first instance of Kanye West's recent erratic behavior, as he would take the time out during the Seattle stop on his Saint Pablo Tour to get a few things off his chest. With Drake's hit song "Pop Style" playing in the background, Kanye decided to shed light on why his verse was removed from the song, as well as call out his mentor and collaborator Jay Z.

"There will never be a Watch the Throne 2," Yeezy proclaimed during his rant, referring to his and Hov's 2011 collaborative album. "That’s the reason I wasn’t on this song, I wasn’t on the song 'cause of Hov. 'Cause of some TIDAL/Apple bullshit. And that shit be getting me tight every time I perform this motherfucker." The show, which took place weeks after Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint as part of a robbery, also included him voicing his displeasure of Jay Z's reaction to the incident, with Kanye feeling as if his actions spoke louder than his words.

"Don't call me, after the robbery, and say 'How you feelin'?' You wanna know how I'm feeling? Come by the house," West says in reference to Jay Z's outreach in the aftermath of the robbery. "Bring the kids by the house, like we're brothers."

The tirade, which would go viral quickly and get many people talking, would be the calm before the storm of controversy for Kanye West.

Cancels Los Angeles Show After Performing for 45 Minutes

Kanye's November got off on the wrong track as it would begin with the first of what was multiple cancellations of dates on his Saint Pablo Tour. After performing for 45 minutes, Kanye West cut his set short due to losing his voice. “I can’t let you have a show where I can’t perform for you,” he said. “I’ll give everyone a refund, I’ll do better next time."

The show, which took place at the Forum in Los Angeles on Nov. 3, was weeks after Yeezy made waves with his tirade admonishing Jay Z and lamenting the affects of the war between Apple Music and TIDAL and another peculiar occurrence involving the rapper.

Endorses Donald Trump at San Jose Show

Kanye West would quickly recover from losing his voice and resume his touring schedule, but another incident that raised more than a few eyebrows occurred during a Saint Pablo Tour stop in San Jose on Nov. 17. With the results from the presidential election being the hot topic in the news cycle, Kanye decided to add his own two cents to the convo.

“Ya’ll know that I didn’t vote, but if I would have voted, I would have voted Trump,” the outspoken rapper stated. His words shocked all in attendance (as well as those at home) and the boos from the crowd proved it. His fans wondered how the same man that denounced George W. Bush could endorse a man with the track record of Donald Trump. The statement didn't go over well with fans, prompting boos and even leading some to exit the building in disguise, adding to the list of bizarre happenings in the life of Yeezy.

Bashes Jay Z and Beyonce at Sacramento Show

If the public thought that Kanye West's endorsement of Donald Trump was big news, they had no idea what they were in store for when the rapper took the stage during the Sacramento leg of his Saint Pablo Tour. Arriving over an hour late, Yeezy performed three songs before going on an extensive, expletive-laden rant, which included digs at Beyonce, Jay Z and the music industry as a whole.

“Beyoncé, I was hurt,” West began. “I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and ‘Hotline Bling.’"

The accusation was in reference to this years MTV Video Music Awards, in which Beyonce won top honors for the music video to her Lemonade single "Formation."

Taking it a step further, Kanye publicly calls out Jay Z once again, urging his friend to call him "like a man" so that they can air out their grievances, but not before adding, “I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head."

The Chicago native would also reiterate his support of Donald Trump and even make peace with Kid Cudi, whom had previously went on a few tirades of his own, live on stage, but his comments toward Jay and Bey would be the focal point of the show and dominate the news cycle.

    Cancels Rescheduled Los Angeles Show

After promising to return and give his fans the show they deserved, Kanye West had a change of heart and canceled the rescheduled Los Angeles stop of his Saint Pablo Tour hours before he was set to perform. Losing his voice mid-performance during the original date in early November, Kanye's decision caused the Forum, the venue in which the concert was supposed to be held, to offer full refunds. The sudden cancellation, which came a day after his epic rant in Sacramento, added fuel to the fire surrounding his recent actions and statements and was yet another L for team Yeezy.

    Posts Bizarre Pictures on Instagram

Following the cancellation of his rescheduled Los Angeles show, Kanye continued to perplex fans by opting to take to Instagram mere hours after the announcement to post a barrage of pics. Joining the social media app earlier this year and only having posted one picture up to that point, Kanye uploaded more than 90 wierdly cropped photos of models to his account. The pictures, which likely came from a vintage fashion magazine, were posted with no captions, leaving fans to jump to their own interpretations or conclusions. This was yet another case of Kanye acting a little more strange than usual.

Cancels Remaining Saint Pablo Tour Dates

Following the string of bizarre events and statements on the part of Kanye West, the rapper decided to abruptly cancel the remaining 21 dates on the North American run of his Saint Pablo Tour without explanation. While Live Nation tweeted that tickets would be fully refunded within five to seven days, the damage to Kanye's popularity was already done, with many angry and disappointed at his recent actions, with some taking to social media to voice their disdain.

Kris Jenner, Kanye's mother-in-law, spoke to the media regarding the cancellation. "He's exhausted, he's just really tired," she said. "He's had a grueling tour and it's been a grind so he just needs some rest."

Although a European leg of the Saint Pablo Tour was in the works, this recent news has put a cloud of doubt over it coming to fruition, and continues Kanye's string of puzzling behavior.

And while the monetary loss of canceling a tour would be huge, an insurance policy could give West a big payout.

Admitted to Hospital in Los Angeles

Just when it felt like things couldn't get worse for Kanye West, news broke that the rapper had been rushed to an L.A. hospital, causing concern from his fans and fellow music industry peers. While not confirming Kanye's whereabouts, a spokesperson for the police informed news outlets that they had received a "disturbance call" that was later deemed to be a medical incident, but would not elaborate any further. While various outlets would give conflicting accounts as to what spurred the hospital visit -- with NBC News claiming it was a "Medical Welfare" call, and TMZ blaming a "psychiatric evaluation" and "sleep deprivation" as the causes -- what's clear is that Kanye West is surely not in the best of shape or spirits at this juncture.

    Held on Involuntary Psychiatric Hold

As more details began to emerge in what led to Kanye West's medical emergency, it was reported by TMZ that the rapper's doctor initially called 911. The call was made because West was suffering from "temporary psychosis" and was allegedly placed on a 5150 Hold, otherwise known as an involuntary psychiatric hold. While it hasn't been confirmed whether Kanye is in fact being held involuntarily, what we do know is that it has been a tumultuous month for him and his family. We wish him the best of luck and a speedy recovery.
