2008 BMW China Culture Journey Continues
YIXIAN COUNTY, CHINA – OCTOBER 23: (CHINA OUT) A cat and a dog play in a lane at the ancient Xidi Village, which was added to the list of World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, during the 2008 BMW China Culture Journey on October 23, 2008 in Yixian County of Anhui Province, China. Besides making a donation, BMW has launched a series of activities to preserve Chinese cultural heritage in Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. On October 14, the 2008 BMW China Culture Journey was kicked off to promote the awareness and protection of China’s intangible cultural heritage. During the activity, a car team which consists of experts, scholars, journalists and other persons, will travel along the Jinghang Grand Canal heading from Beijing to south, reaching Huizhou of Anhui Province.
