While McDonald’s tastes good, it doesn’t always seem like it is made from the kind of natural ingredients you could buy in a grocery store. As part of McDonald’s Canada’s ongoing campaign to demystify their fare, executive chef Dan Coudreaut demonstrates in this video how you can actually make a Big Mac in your own kitchen using simple, readily available ingredients.

Watch Coudreaut cook up a homemade Big Mac below. As an added bonus, you also learn how to make the famous burger’s special sauce.

Whipping up the sauce turns out to be fairly easy. (Although, Coudreaut doesn’t really give away the ever-important recipe ratios.) Since the pink stuff would make a shoe tasty, it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to add it to your cooking repertoire.
