I-10 Closed On Atchafalaya Basin Bridge Because of 18-Wheeler Fire

As you can see in the picture below, an 18-wheeler fire is causing major traffic issues on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge on I-10.

According to Louisiana State Police, I-10 eastbound and westbound at mile post 127 (Whiskey Bay exit) is closed. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.

UPDATE: I-10 EB/WB on the basin bridge is expected to remain closed through the night and into tomorrow.
