I-10 East Is Closed Due To 18 Wheeler Accident
I-10 East is closed this morning after an 18 wheeler was involved in an accident and caught fire.
State Police have closed I-10 at the Atchafalaya Basin bridge. Traffic on I-10 is being diverted to I-49 North and then to U.S. Hwy 90 east (to Baton Rouge).
A spokesperson for Louisiana State Police tells us the interstate will be closed for several hours and is asking for the public's patience.
