JaMarcus Russell wants to play football again. How bad does he want to play? He told NFL teams he will play for free if they give him a second chance.

The former LSU quarterback might be the biggest bust in the history of the NFL Draft, and the public let him know about it. His weight gain and substance issues became a laughing matter to football fans, but Russell wants to change that narrative.

He's not asking to be on a team's roster, or even their practice squad. He just wants to be around the game again.

"Whatever it is, I could be a waterboy and work my way onto the scout team. It doesn't matter, I'll go play for free," Russell said in a Sports Illustrated promo for a film.

He knows he's not in football shape, but he's still a mountain of a man with one of the strongest arms NFL scouts ever saw. With the current crop of QB's, he picked the perfect time to toss up a Hail Mary.

With the NFL Draft this week, will any General Managers give Russell's agent a call after the dust settles? If they do, it looks like they will get a humbled man.

Does Russell deserve another shot? If you only have to pay the league minimum, why not?
