“It will be for us the economic stimulus we’ve been needing for decades…for jobs to be created in that area. It provides us the opportunity to begin to train our community workforce.”

Those words came from Pastor Ken Lazard with Destiny of Faith Church in Lafayette as he spoke about the I-49 Lafayette Connector.

Pastor Lazard and One Acadiana President & CEO Jason El Koubi joined “Acadiana’s Morning News” to discuss the importance of the I-49 Lafayette Connector to the north side of Lafayette and in connecting Lafayette to other regions.

El Koubi described the I-49 Lafayette Connector as “the single biggest project opportunity we’ve had in our region’s history.”

“We believe no change is no option,” stated El Koubi. “We’ve got to move forward with urgency. That’s what we’re doing.”
