Kendrick Lamar might be the most famous rapper from California's Top Dawg Entertainment, but longtime TDE fans know Jay Rock was actually the first crew member to pop off. Now, in the first episode of his Road to Redemption docuseries—which was produced in support of Jay Rock's forthcoming Redemption album, due out Friday (June 15)—fans can see clips of TDE's formative years.

In the doc, which uses archival footage of K. Dot, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, viewers are taken on a trip through Watts, Calif. Throughout episode one, we see clips of Jay Rock in the booth recording vocals and videos of caesar-rocking Kung Fu Kenny delivering bars. There's even footage of Jay Rock and Kendrick acting in one of their own music videos. It's pretty dope stuff. We'll let you see what else goes on by peeping the episode for yourself.

Preceded by its Kendrick Lamar, Future and James Blake-assisted first single, "King's Dead," Redemption also includes features from Jeremih, J. Cole and SZA. You can find out for yourself when the LP, which will mark Jay Rock's third, drops this Friday (June 15).
