They say patience is a virtue, and it's certainly paid off for John Legend. A full decade after making his debut, the G.O.O.D. Music singer has finally scored the first No. 1 single of his career.

Despite being released in August 2013, his romantic ballad 'All of Me' climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The song finally dethroned Pharrell's 'Happy,' which occupied the top spot for the previous 10 weeks.

Dedicated to his wife Chrissy Teigen, 'All of Me' has now spent a total of 30 weeks on the Hot 100, which marks the third longest climb to the No. 1 spot in the chart's 55-year history. Like we said, good things come to those who wait.

Legend was clearly overjoyed as he tweeted:

Elsewhere, Ariana Grande also enjoyed her biggest chart success this week as her new single 'Problem,' which features Iggy Azalea, debuted at No. 3. Her previous best was No. 9 with the Mac Miller-assisted 'The Way.' Oh, and speak of the devil, Iggy follows at No. 4 with her club favorite 'Fancy,' featuring Charli XCX.

The Aussie rapper is the third female artist in Billboard history to place her first two Hot 100 hits in the top five simultaneously. Sometimes you don't have to wait a decade to taste success. Especially if you're young, pretty and blonde.
