Kanye West and Adidas have announced the upcoming release of the Yeezy Boost 700 Salt today (Feb. 12).

The 700 Salt will feature a full-length drop in boost midsole, an upper composed of suede overlays and premium leather with mesh underlays and heel details. The shoe has a black gum sole along with a reflective heel and of course, the brand's iconic three tripes.

This news comes just two days after the 15th anniversary of Kanye's The College Dropout, a debut album that immediately catapulted him to superstar status. The G.O.O.D. Music founder celebrated the anniversary over the weekend during his weekly Sunday Sessions series. A full orchestra and choir accompanied Ye to perform "Jesus Walks," as people like Consequence, producer 88 Keys and vocalist Tony Williams, all artists who had an influential role in the making of the classic album, were in attendance.

XXL recently did a deep dive into the album in honor of its anniversary, and revealed the samples that Kanye used to craft the legendary production. From Luther Vandross to Chaka Khan, Lauryn Hill, Marvin Gaye and more, you can check out every song that Kanye sampled for The College Dropout here.

Getting back to Kanye's new shoe, the Yeezy Boost 700 Salt will be made available worldwide on Feb. 23, 2019. It will also carry a $300 price tag. You can cop them in select stores or on adidas' website here.
