Kanye West’s Apology Tweets Turned Into Spoof on ‘SNL’ [VIDEO]

Kanye West’s recent apologetic tweets to Beck and Bruno Mars were spoofed on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The rapper-producer has been on an apology tour recently and SNL decided to joke about it during their “Weekend Update” segment.

Comedian Jay Pharoah played West, who visits the newscast to officially apologize to all of the people he offended. Yeezy told Colin Jost that his apology is on the level of Jesus.

He then performs an impromptu song to make amends for his wrong. West flipped his “Good Morning” song into “I’m Sorry” and apologizes for a variety of things, including thinking that the Oscar-winning song “Glory” was a song about him.

It’s an amusing skit, but the joke loses steam after West's first round of apologies. We get it, he’s sorry.

But here’s something that’s not a joke. West recently announced the title of his upcoming album. The “All Day” rapper is calling his seventh solo album So Help Me God. The cover art boasts a 13th Century monastic symbol for the Virgin Mary, according to a conspiracy theory website.

There’s no official release date for the album yet because, as West said in previous interviews, release dates are played out.
