It seems Kanye West has been working on his back peddle. Less than a week after realizing the error he made in speaking on Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose's child, Kanye is stepping back from a previous comment he made saying that his upcoming album, then titled Swish, now titled Waves, would be the best album of all time.

"Out of respect for Q-Tip, Puff, Hov, Lauren, Pharcyde, Mary, Stevie, Michael, Hendrix, James, Pete Rock, Pac, Marvin…." Kanye wrote on Twitter late Tuesday evening (Feb. 2), "this new album is ONE of the greatest albums not the greatest just one of … So many musicians touch my life and made me who I am… I want to make something great to honor my idols…"

Perhaps in overstepping the line of decency in his Twitter fight with Wiz, Kanye learned the value in reigning things in a bit, though it's hard to dispute that the "Single Ladies" video truly was one of the best videos of all time. Either way, the collective Twitter-sphere and rap community is hanging on Kanye's every word as the days til Waves pass one-by-one.

With a Feb. 11 drop date, there isn't much time for Kanye to reshape and add to what will be his seventh studio album, and yet, photos continue to surface of artist after artist in the studio with him. Most recently, Swizz Beatz spoke to Billboard about the project, saying, “It’s one of the best albums I heard him produce in a while. It’s a sound that I think is very enjoyable. The sonics and the things that people are gonna hear, I think they should connect to it, like close their eyes from all of the B.S. and think about the music when you listen to the album... He has a great piece of work on his hands.” Read Kanye's tweets below.
