Last month, Kanye West and his cohorts revealed that his G.O.O.D. Music album was close to being finished. Now they’re putting their money where their mouths are: They’ve announced that the first single from the label, ‘Mercy,’ will drop this Friday (April 6). Of course it will — it’s Good Friday! (We see what they did there.)

Pitchfork reports that the single, ‘Mercy,’ was announced by Pusha-T. While we don’t know yet which G.O.O.D. artists will be featured on ‘Mercy,’ West has a pretty sweet roster to choose from: Big Sean (who West predicts will become the greatest rapper of all time), Pusha-T, Frank Ocean and more.

West previewed some of the tracks from the album during his 2011 Christmas party in London. Big Sean announced a few of the collaborations during an interview on the set of his ‘Slight Work’ video, letting slip that John Legend and Common would also appear on the record. “We’re all working on a new project; it’s almost done,” Big Sean said. “We’re going to London to finish it up and do the last part of it and working on my album at the same time with ‘Ye and everybody.”

Producer Mannie Fresh dished on the album in March and couldn’t praise it more highly. “Songs phenomenal, everything. It’s an album that’s all over the place, it’s not just one thing,” he said. “It’s not just that you’re gonna hear some Southern hip-hop or whatever. You’re gonna hear everything.”

Good Friday sounds pretty great to us. We can’t wait to hear it!
