Some precipitation wasn't going to derail Hot 97's annual Summer Jam event, as the Met Life Stadium concert proceeded despite the fact that the Festival Stage, which takes place in the stadium's parking lot, was cancelled. That the third day of New York's Governors Ball was cancelled as well freed up Kanye West to make a special appearance, adding a bit of the magic that the Summer Jam stage, the same kind that has made it a moment-making setting for years.

DJ Khaled brought out The LOX, Busta Rhymes, OT Genesis and Kent Jones to perform for the 80,000 in attendance, with Kim Kardashian and Usher spotted backstage. A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg likewise set it off right, representing New York as only they can.

Unfortunately, the evening was marred by a few lowlights as well, with an in-audience fight delaying the jam-packed lineup and headliner Future unable to perform, as the concert ran past 1 a.m. the audio receiving the ax due to New Jersey's curfew law.

"We share your disappointment that due to the delayed start because of the severe weather, as well as a curfew and an end deadline for the last train out of Secaucus in consideration of our concert goers traveling via NJ Transit, that we were unable to get everyone on stage tonight we had hoped would perform," a spokesperson for Emmis Communications, the parent company of Hot 97, said.
