Praise 'Yeezus'! Kanye West's polarizing new album premiered atop the Billboard 200 chart this week. According to Billboard, the collection sold 327,000 copies in its first week of release.

This is West's sixth No. 1 album in his career and ties him for the second-most No. 1 LPs among rap acts following Eminem and Nas. Only Jay-Z has the most No. 1s with 12. That will most likely change when Hov drops 'Magna Carter Holy Grail' in two weeks.

Meanwhile, J. Cole's second LP, 'Born Sinner,' finished at No. 2 with 297,000 copies moved. The North Carolina rapper exceeded early projections, selling about 100,000 copies more than its forecast of 150,000 to 200,000 on June 14.

"Grateful for the everyone that bought the album. Thank you. 3hunna," Cole tweeted to his fans.

Coming in at No. 3 is Mac Miller's 'Watching Movies with the Sound' off with 102,000 discs sold. The Pittsburgh rhymer seemed pleasantly pleased with how well he did on the chart.

"I did 100k by just making some cool music that everyone can vibe to. The revolution is here," he wrote on his Twitter timeline.

There is a possibility that another rap act could take the apex next week. Maybach Music Group artist Wale just released his third album, 'The Gifted,' yesterday (June 25).

Congrats to Yeezy, Cole and Miller for ruling the Billboard 200 this week. Hip-hop was the real winner in all of these album projections.
